Kingdom Trails

Can we ride this string of beautiful days through next weekend?
Comment here if getting organized is your thing: when you're leaving town, got room in your car for people or bikes, what you're bringing to Saturday's pot luck dinner, where we're riding Friday

Getch and John Mac hope to leave Fri at 1 PM getting into camp for a late afternoon ride. 2 bikes on the roof towing a pop-up that sleeps 3. Getch is bringing sweet potatoes, corn, and apple crisp for Saturday feast. I'll also do pancakes Saturday morning for everyone.

Getch - Don't forget the butter for the yams and corn. Didja know Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are headlining the Burke Mt Music Festival - starts at 3 PM Saturday, outside at the Sherburne Lodge

Paul-
As our lead camp counselor, what basics should we be divying up...PBJ, bread, beer, snacks, beer, steaks, beer,...etc?

Also, I'll bring my easy up(10 x 10), one or two coleman lanterns, my bike stand and tools.

I am bringing a tent and a screen room plus other camping ammenities. I am bring a grill for the fireplace, a replacement for the old tripod (retired). Hamburgers for the potluck. I have a truck that seats four and a trailer for the bikes. I plan on leaving right after school (2:30ish). Right now travelling alone. Plenty of room for others.

Oops - I forgot the ever important tarp and poles. Hoping that we will not need them for once.

Speak with Todd. He is planning to go, but may need to be hog tied and dragged away from work.

I have a small back pack tent fits 1 that does not leak if anyone needs it and our palatial family tent good for two and all your stuff. It all stays home unless I hear from anyone.

Paul - What's Todd's email?

PS - I will bring fire wood.

OK, Now that I found the comment section.

I cannot leave until Saturday AM. Plan to leave around 7. Room for one additional person and bike in my vehicle. I have a spacious two person tent. Not sure what I'm bringing for pot-luck yet, besides beer.

Does anyone have a pump that will fill an air matress? I inheirited the mattress, but the bike pump won't fit it. the valve opening is big, the directions say "standard air mattress pump".

Harry Potter mountain bikes?

I'm not sure when I'm leaving. I'm clear for launch early Friday mornning, maybe riding with Steve H and riding back with someone else (he can't stay long, last I heard). I can drive a van up if needed but would like to avoid having 9 guys and 8 cars up there...

John, I have a couple low volume pumps I'll bring. And meat. For Saturday night. Meat.

Getch says he is hoping to get a ride in Friday afternoon up in Shangri-la (he is still a little hurt from last year, when he rolled into camp Friday afternoon raring to go and everyone was on their third beer already).
Soooo, for those showing up on Friday, lets plan on a ride departing between 3:00 and 4:00, sobriety optional.

I'd opt for the beer and meat and forget the bike riding!!

It's a celebration: no chores, no kids, no wives etc.

Tom, Thanks for bringing the pump. Meat?? I'll see what I can do, I was kinda thinking munchies and a dessert. Vienna sausages??

Is anyone else going on saturday AM or am I driving up by myself?

I can't not get out of school until 2:30pm, I will be ther by 4:30pm. Can you wait to ride until then or am I going to be Last Year's Paul?
At this point I do not have anyone riding with me, so I will have room on the way home.
